On the Castles V3 or MP200, start the device. If kinetic_go_updater is set to run as the default application, you can repeatedly press the red key during the startup process to ensure that the device starts with the Program Manager.
You’ll know you’re in the Program Manager when you see this on the black status bar at the top of the screen.
Press 0 to reach System Menu
Press 4 for SYS SETTINGS
Make sure you have the following setting values:
Key Sound : N (does not change downloading, but removes the annoying beep)
USB CDC Mode : Y
Set USB Host : N
If you want to use the device for development or troubleshooting, you can also change the following settings:
Debug Mode : Y
Debug Port : U (you can press the 3 key for U)
With these settings in place, the device is ready for USB downloads.
