Note: this only works on a non-3G MP200 device. It will not work on MP200L or Vega3000 devices.
The MP200 is equipped with a 133MHz processor, however the device can also be “overclocked” to 266MHz with a patch.
This is safe to do, however it will impact the battery life of the device between charges.
To apply the patch to the MP200, use loader or capload with the attached speed.mci or speed.sh files.
If you want to check that a device has the patch loaded, from Program Manager press 0 -> 2 System Info. The BIOS will have a value that includes a G. For example:
No speed patch: BIOS VR0013
With speed patch: BIOS VRG013
